Demetrius Casillas, Jr, better known by his stage name, Platune, is a rapper and artist moved by the beauty & pain of his world. Raised in the Juniata section of Philadelphia, the teacher turned hip-hop assassin, realized the impact he was capable of creating while teaching in the same communities he was raised in. Platune, an artist who has experienced some of life's highest highs and lowest of lows dedicates his energy to inspiring thought, self belief, and action to the masses. Platune began gaining traction in 2020 as a hip-hop artist with his debut EP, Enter the Cave, a four track mixtape. That was just the start to Platune's journey. His debut single, The Assassin, cracked over 50k streams during lockdown leaving only opportunity to go up, once touring and venues return to business. Intent on further pursuing a solo career as a rapper, Platune has begun working on his next slate of releases and events ready to take 2021 by storm
