At age 2, my parents moved our little family from Ashland, Ohio to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue my father's music business dreams. Growing up watching, learning from, and cherishing Dad's passion for songs, I've dedicated my professional life to writing songs that marry GREAT melodies to GREAT lyrics, that hopefully will go to #1 on COUNTRY RADIO. Why country? ...COUNTRY bc I think it's the most sophisticated genre out there...I appreciate the emphasis we place here in town on lyrics that are at least somewhat narrative-driven, and, well...LITERATE...CLEAN...WHOLESOME (sometimes, at least for country radio)...ALL IN ALL...to me at least....all that said...it's STILL ALL ABOUT MELODY...which is the language of emotion...SONGWRITERS ARE MODERN DAY WIZARDS...and our spells are our songs...what a great responsibility and gift...thank you God, and thanks Dad for showing me how...
