Project Genre is the innovative vision of singer-songwriter Michael Alan Colton, who takes his original songs and reimagines them across multiple genres with different artists, producers, and tools. Believing that a truly great song can live in any style—whether pop, rock, country, acoustic, or electronic—Colton pushes the boundaries of how music can be heard and shared. His ambitious goal is to land hits on multiple Billboard charts with different versions of the same song, proving that strong songwriting transcends genre. Beyond artistic exploration, every version created within Project Genre is available for licensing in film, TV, and media or for purchase by performing artists, offering creators and performers versatile, high-quality songs designed for broad impact and connection.
