Born in Elkhart, IN, on June 7th, in 1992, the day before her parents shared Birthday, ~R.Ë.L.~ comes from humble beginnings. She grew up listening to every genre of music, especially her mother's favorite; old school soul. The first CD she ever rented from the library was called A Ma Zone by Zap Mama, which led her to find her other album called Ancestory In Progress. On there is a song named Bandy Bandy, which first introduced her to the voice of Erykah Badu! From that moment on, Neo-Soul, Old School Soul, R&B, Jazz, Blues, Reggae, and Hip-Hop has been the basis of all her music. She is ALL about the feels! Her music is her diary and she is a perfectionist, so expect nothing but the best. For the longest, she set her music to the side to be the best mother she could be, and now, she has had years to perfect her craft. With six children to support, she refuses to lose.
