Reets is an alt-folk singer from South Africa. Her vulnerable, yet fearless presence, paired with strong, colourful vocal interplay, shocks and soothes listeners into inevitable goosebumps. Her lyrics are self-reflective and intensely honest, covering many moods whilst exploring the themes of time, nature, magic and the human condition. Audiences equate her sound to Nora Jones meets Jeff Buckley or Janis Joplin meets Bjork. This self-taught guitarist started writing her first songs as an angsty teen, but it was only after traveling Mexico, a solo journey that profoundly changed her life-perspective, that she dared the stage for the first time in 2012 & then played all over SA. A gypsy at heart, she's also performed all around Asia, sharing the stage with a gamut of talented musicians. In 2019 she released her self-recorded debut single, “Tea, Wine & Time’. She’s releasing her 2nd single, recorded at AudioCulture with Jaco Naude, on 4 March'22!
