Steve was exposed to many forms of music at an early age. His exposure to several musical genres such as Rock, Gospel, R&B, Hip Hop, Jazz, World Music, Kompa, Latin and Reggae, have all contributed to his unique musical style. In middle school, he fell in love with the saxophone and with being a consummate musician. After forming his first band, Steve wanted to serve his country, and eventually enlisted in the U.S. Marines Corp to fulfill a boyhood dream. He served one year in Washington, D. C., and one year in the Middle East during the Iraqi war. After being honorably discharged, Steve came home to Miami, and enrolled at Florida Memorial University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music, with a concentration in Jazz Studies. It was now time to fulfill his second dream. Reason has been touring as a sax player for the last six years. He has performed, played, and opened for many artists, such as Jennifer Hudson, Mia Martina, Massari, Benny Demus (Akon’s DJ), Jae Millz
