Super Love brings ‘autonomous indie’ style to the music world with multi-layered lyrics and cross-genre grooves, building each track into a unique yet familiar sonic experience. The band has been influenced by the local style of New York City in their expressive sound, and incorporates elements in their work from numerous sub-genres, including punk and jazz. Formed in 2019 by Constance Watkins (lead vocals) and Jared Watkins (multi-instrumentalist), they write and record in a brownstone townhouse in the city. They continually show that they are not limited to one style or sound.

The Real Me
“The Real Me” is a song about seeing yourself in two different lights; the person you are during the day, and the one that comes out at night. It is reminiscent of Latin rock, and built on a groove with smooth, blue guitar created from an unlikely pairing of scales. The moody melody allows you to comfortably slide into the awkward juxtaposition of your own duality. “The Real Me'' begs the question: Who are you really? Which version of you is the dream? Do you know?

In Summer 2020, we had just released our debut album, and we were stuck in our small NYC apartment. Seth said "we should make a song called 'Bored'". We had not used any synths in our first album, and Jared was amped to use them. Bored got a synth hook, a R&B beat, a bass groove, and a guitar solo. Constance vocals went minor, and you know, without askin', she is into the blues.
Bored is the first single from our upcoming Sophomore album. It was written by Constance Watkins and Jared Watkins
