The Kid and I is a Hertfordshire based alternative indie rock music project started by multi-instrumentalist Jacob Powell. Started in 2020 during the Covid 19 lockdown, The Kid and I started in a garage, learning to record and produce original music by himself.
Mixing thundering drums, loud lead guitars and heart on your sleeve lyrics, The Kid and I blends fast paced Indie Rock music, with Alternative Rock and Power Pop sensibilities, with lyrical content covering loss, relationships and coming of age in an uncertain world.
