I am a singer/songwriter (EMI Publishing) of The Wasps. Formed in Feb '76, The Wasps were one of London's earliest Punk bands & appeared at The Roxy, The Bridge House, etc & soon built a large following. In Nov '77 our first single was "Teenage Treats" on 4Play Records, reviewed in NME as a "great single" by Bob Geldof. The Wasps performed this track on Radio 1's John Peel show. The single is a vintage punk classic and now highly collectable. In Oct '77 The Wasps appeared on the "Live at The Vortex" album. Their track "Can't Wait Till '78" has also become a Punk classic. The Wasps signed to RCA and released the single "Rubber Cars" to much acclaim and the single was RCA's biggest selling single of the week. However, due to managerial disputes the band to split shortly after. In 2003 The Wasps released their "debut" album "Punkryonics" featuring these & previously unreleased tracks. In 2019 I reformed The Wasps. We are currently recording a brand new album to be released late 2021.
