Tucker HD, is a Ugandan Hip-Hop recording artist from Rubaga, Kampala. After the Talent Africa Urban Star Search competition, held from May to July 2011, Tucker signed with Aly Alhibai’s Talent Africa in 2011, up until 2015, along with Martha Smallz as a collective named AirporTaxi. He released his first mixtape, The High Definition Mixtape in 2012. In 2014, Tucker released his second mixtape, The Tucker Tuesdays Compilation Mixtape, which was also released for free download on Audiomack, after which he continued to hone his skills through guest appearances on dozens of tracks. In July 2016, he released a 6-song project titled Juli, and he won the Sweet 16 Award at the UG Hip-Hop Awards for Calm Before The Storm in December of the same year. In March of 2018, Tucker HD partnered with Wizarts Media to host an invite-only “Upclose Experience” at the Wizarts Auditorium, treating his fans to an intimate performance and in-depth, interactive conversations.
