Born and lived his formative years in Lagos, Nigeria. His love for music came at an early age and was stirred further after the demise of his cousins at the tender ages of four and six. A traumatic experience that introduced him to the fear of the dark. To ease his fear and improve his sleeping pattern (particularly at night times), his dad bought him a rechargeable lantern that doubled as a radio player. Growing up, his first taste of music came through the musical palette of his dad and older brothers. As he advanced in age, he was allured by the culture portrayed in the music videos of the late 90s and early 00s. Genres like: RnB and Hip-Hop (Rap) piqued his interests. He listened to music from the likes of; MC Hammer, Kris Kross, Salt n Pepa, Brandy, Aaliyah, and Heavy D. Others were, Boyz II Men, Kenny G, Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, Prince, Nas, Jay-Z, Puff Daddy, Naughty by Nature, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Timbaland, Missy Elliot, Ginuwine and 112.
