Uniflora is a post-punk trio from the city of Chicago composed of Quinn Dugan (vocals/guitar), Theo Williams (bass) and Ruby O’Brien (drums). They joined forces in March of 2023, combining equal amounts of unruly noise, cryptic lyrics, slashing rhythms and brooding bass lines. A band of teenagers, Uniflora has quickly made a unique impression on the city's vibrant DIY all-ages scene in Chicago. The Chicago Reader said Uniflora’s “austere rhythms and brittle guitars blur together minimal postpunk and trippy psychedelic rock.” Uniflora's varied music draws on its diverse listening habits: Cola, Black Country New Road, Weather Report, the Kinks. Totally DIY, the band books and promotes its own shows (preferably all ages), makes its own artwork, and releases its own music. The band released Plastic Sturgeon EP, a six-song collection, as a cassette and digital download in November 2023.
