YBK Shakur born and raised in the capital(Abuja) city of Nigeria until his adolescent age. Migrating to North America, YBK would spend his later adolescent and teenage years in Canada. YBK brings a beautiful blend of both his West - African heritage and Canadian experience. Bridging together a classical Boom Bap flows with melodic Drill like beats and hard 808s to match his lyrical storytelling. Altogether forming what he calls a modern Afro fusion of HipHop/Drill/Rap.
