After growing up in Minnesota and earning a PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Adam began a career as a professional research scientist. Having studied molecular electronics, he holds patents and one of these has led to commercialization of the first application of a molecular electronic device: in guitar distortion circuits! More recently, Adam has been studying various applications of nanomaterials, adaptive optics for use in telescope and communications, as well as various other projects. In musical terms, Adam has a long-held passion for psychedelic music, and the Electrical Fractals album was performed and produced in his own studio, with various collaborators providing voice work and on one track, co-writing the words. Electrical Fractals is a foray into space, time, and the human mind, starting from the Big Bang, and proceeding through Galaxy formation, the solar system forming, and human consciousness emerging. Finally, reflections on mortality and creativity cap off the album.
