Alt Suite is a Seattle-based female rock duo consisting of Nova Clark (vocals/guitar, 24) and Vegas Storm (bass, 25). The pair have been best friends since junior high school, where Clark co-founded rock trio The Golden Years which Storm later joined in 2015. The Golden Years had one studio album. As Alt Suite, Clark and Storm’s music gives a sleek, modern update to the nostalgic sounds of the ‘70s and ‘80s.
Their debut single “Don’t Go Out” is a cover of an obscure Hall and Oates track that hadn’t seen the light of day until the release of Hall and Oates’ “Do What You Want, Be What You Are” box set in 2009. Both versions were mixed by Grammy Award-winning record producer Neil Kernon, who worked with Hall and Oates at New York City’s Electric Lady Studios. Kernon's other collaborations include Yes, Kansas, Peter Gabriel and Neil Diamond. Along with mixing Alt Suite’s rendition, Kernon provided keyboards.

A fresh take on a cult classic. We hope you enjoy our cover version of “In My Own Way,” originally performed by Jessica Harper in Richard O’Brien’s eccentric 1981 musical Shock Treatment.more
