As We Evolve took shape organically during the summer of 2020, when its members were, along with society as a whole, looking for something positive to come out of a secluded life and an uncertain future. Guitarist/Bassist, Andy Fateman reached out to his long-time friends and former band mates, Matt Martin (drums) and Greg Clauberg (vocals) with an idea of revisiting their song-writing of the past - in hopes of bringing to life a new project that would give them a creative and therapeutic outlet. As We Evolve’s inspiration spans across a diverse musical palette; but their main commonalities range from the technical and progressive rock of TOOL, Rush, Living Colour, and Genesis, to the melodic, mood-inducing laments of Failure, The Cure, Jane's Addiction, to their hardcore/punk roots in Bad Brains, Misfits, Quicksand, and Gorilla Biscuits, …the list goes on.
