Beezus Taylor is a Baltimore-based classically trained musician who began learning to play the flute at the age of seven and teaching herself piano just a few years later. In 2016 in an attempt to realize her own sound, the vocalist/keyboardist began covering musical artists she admired, notably The Cure and PJ Harvey, while earning her B.S. in Biology. In 2020, fueled by her DIY-attitude and with an abundance of time in quarantine she began to push her boundaries by covering The Cure’s Disintegration in its entirety armed with only a midi keyboard and microphone. Beezus harnessed the momentum from Discountegration as she began to work on her debut EP The Ghost Hunter’s Handbook. The three-song concept album addresses themes such as death, the afterlife, and the paranormal. From the bluesy piano on “Casket and Sack” to the groovy electronic beats of “Zozo’s Song” and the dark, wavy bass lines of “Into the Red Light”, Beezus’ influences are evident but the sonic landscapes she has
