Rhymes with lettuce. I'm a self-taught, left-handed guitarist who plays a righty guitar upside down, a classically trained pianist who abandoned lessons as a teenager in favor of learning to play my favorite songs by ear, and a self-diagnosed compulsive harmonizer who has been arranging complex backing vocals since middle school. I've been obsessed with music as long as I can remember, but I never quite took myself seriously as a capital-A Artist until my early 30s, when I joined a Facebook group that stressed the idea of making music for its own sake and building a supportive community to share it with. I released my debut album on May 1, 2020, just a few months shy of my 40th birthday, and it has so far been endorsed by some of my indie pop songwriting idols, like Chris Collingwood (Fountains of Wayne), Philip Price (Winterpills), Joe Pernice, (Pernice Brothers), and AC Newman (New Pornographers)!
