Akron-based Brian Lisik's music has described by The Seattle Post-Intelligencer as "A rough and tumble garage-y sound...with Lisik's hoarse, heartland-rocking voice soaked deep in an ocean of chunky guitars” No Depression said it is “a winning formula of catchy phrasing, jangly guitar riffs and great pop hooks,” and Cleveland Scene put it even more succinctly, calling Lisik’s latest album, “Wilco on steroids.”
His 2018 release "We’re Sorry…" placed two singles (“Colorado Avenue” and “Feudal Nights”) in the Americana and AAA national Top 200 charts.
Co-produced by Don Dixon (REM, Counting Crows, Smithereens, Gin Blossoms, Kim Carnes, Mathew Sweet), Lisik’s most recent album, "Gudbye Stoopid Whirled," is a 10-song collection of early-rockabilly/60s garage punk/Stax soul vibe that Elmore Magazine called “a tasty, bare-bones hash of timeless folk-pop and rockabilly, shaggy garage-rock edge and power-pop sparkle."
