Possum Joe & the RevelGators deliver a country gospel backbone dressed up with swamp rock grit, surf twang, prog-rock detours, and the occasional rockabilly stomp. Joe Teerman—aka Possum Joe—went from mixing paint colors to mixing up a wild stew of rootsy sounds, biblical storytelling, and tongue-in-cheek humor.
His songs range from heartfelt love ballads for his wife to faith-fueled anthems and playful southern romps. A self-proclaimed “knight with a shining bald head,” Possum Joe balances sincerity with a grin—keeping his music grounded in gospel truth but never afraid to throw in a left-field riff or a wink at the audience. The RevelGators keep it tight and rowdy, turning every tune into a revival you didn’t see coming.
