Gabrielle Riegel, also a trained opera singer, turns hospital static into hyperpop distortion. An American now based in Toronto, she makes feminine, bass-heavy chaos with lots of subwoofers out of everything she was survived. After a urostomy and a lifetime of reinvention, her music lives somewhere between catharsis and catastrophe.
