Real Name Lawrence McEwen born and raised in the roughest parts of Omaha Nebraska, also in the rough of Denver Colorado. The oldest of 5 by his mother and middle child of 6 by the father. (“I always had to be the big brother and role model”), (says Flame). Trauma carved its way into a young HellzFlame’s life at the age of 8. Born in the 80’s where crack cocaine was an epidemic in the black community Flame recalls, (“My mom was badly addicted to crack by then, and my grandmother stabbed my aunt in the heart right in front of me”) After the traumatic experience of losing a family member, right in front of your eyes as a child, the conflicting feelings and confusion, was the least of HellzFlame’s problems. (“I had little brothers and sisters to take care of, and make sure they were ok”). Moving back and forth from Nebraska to Denver, whenever Flame’s mom got frustrated or in any trouble, a stable life was not an option. So at 18 he set out on his own, things got violent.
