this song was written by me after i started reminiscing what it was like to be long distance w my husband when we first started dating— esp after helping another friend of mine move abroad at the behest of her own ldr. brought up some old feelings of what it was like; a mixture of longing and anxiety, wondering/worrying when we’d be able to have each other & see each other. this song means sooo much to me and it’s my favourite that i’ve written so far (& there’s a looooot more from where it came from !!) after lots of convincing, my shy & sweet (& v talented) husband agreed to write and rap a german verse on the song since i found it v important to have one; representing two people from two different countries, speaking two different languages, communicating & needing each other so much over a phone line. i’m so proud of him. (also stfuwhiteboy was the instagram username he had eight years ago when i first met him 😭) also, after weeks and weeks of back and forth & trying to learn together— my friend (who also produced this beautiful beat for me) @jayh.lorenzo mastered this song for me & while he’s new (as am i to mixing) to this area of editing; i’m so proud of how it came out in the end & know it only goes up from here! anyway, hope u enjoy this lil song + send it to ur long distance luvrs/nearby luvrs as a lil luv letter 💛 stream now to help support!more
