Born in small town St. John's, Michigan, 21 year old singer/songwriter/producer Jake Ashton aims to bring the funky back. Writing songs since he was 14, he quickly became addicted to working on his craft; gathering inspiration to fuse together sounds across multiple genres. From explosive funk-pop bops, to soul shattering ballads, to hard rock riffs and jazz solos, Jake is eager to share his world. Currently a Senior at Michigan State University, Jake is studying to get his bachelors in Media and Information while also performing in the marching band. Through this, he has been able to grow further musically, arranging multiple marching band pieces for various skill levels. Growing up around marching band his whole life, much of Jake’s music is heavily influenced by the punchy, brassy, “in your face” style that a marching band provides. More music on the way. Stay tuned!
