No One Else Compares is about having the realisation that you have fallen in love with someone, but you start having doubts about "are you good enough for them", "are you doing too much", "are you doing to little" etc, So in the chorus and verses I wanted them to feel that it lifted that narrative and makes you feel that NO you're doing ok and just keep going. A big inspiration for this song was Coldplay A Sky Full Of Stars, with the catchy but story telling verses then a BIG chorus to give that magical feeling. The song came together when I met up with Mark Elliott (Who actually taught me how to play guitar) for a session, he then came up with the opening piano progression which continues throughout the song, whilst coming up with lyric ideas the 'ooos' came out and we both loved it. We started building the song from there. I wrote this song for my girlfriend and it's about how life has been so much better with her, and you know you've found THE ONE.
