James T. Richardson II makes music about what happens when the systems that helped you survive begin to hide who you are.
An engineering leader, lifelong technologist, husband, and father, James began creating music as a way to translate experiences he had never been able to explain clearly—late-diagnosed neurodivergence, anxiety, grief, relationships, corporate identity, and the distance between appearing functional and actually feeling alive.
His debut album, Identity, blends alternative rock, metalcore, rap rock, and electronic influences with the language of engineering and technology. Stack traces, protocols, rootkits, pagers, and manual overrides become metaphors for masking, executive dysfunction, imposter syndrome, communication, and the search for connection.
The songs are personal, but they are not intended to be his story alone. This is not music about having everything figured out. It is the sound of someone finally running the diagnostics honestly.
