Croydon

I’m Koinz aka Big K, a rapper from Croydon, South London. I’ve been doing music for years and came up through the UK scene, starting out as a DJ before getting deeper into making my own music. I’ve always been about the bars, the flows and keeping my own identity. I’ve put out music, mixtapes and projects over the years, including the Pain Behind the Smoke series, and built up a catalogue across Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, YouTube and other platforms. I’ve been putting work in without a major label behind me and I’ve stayed independent through the ups and downs. I’ve had music reaching people online, built my own following and kept developing my sound while a lot of things around me changed. My music comes from real life, my experiences, where I’m from and everything I’ve been through. I can switch my flows up, I like wordplay and punchlines, and I’m always trying to bring something different on every beat. I might be a later bloomer but I’ve never stopped.
