Lucas Penner is an experimental rock and indie pop songwriter from Penticton, BC, known for his post-punk, Dante's Inferno inspired musical, Circles, and Passerby EP. After a few years' hiatus from releasing music digitally, while acting and composing in the Toronto theatre scene, the prolific songwriter is ecstatic to be sharing his maturing sound. The break-out single 'So Well', just released on October 27th, is inspired by Tom Waits' songwriting and bizarre soundscapes as well as The Nightmare Before Christmas' soundtrack. 'So Well' is about accepting one's own darkness rather than running from it or blaming its existence on external things.
