I wrote this when my boyfriend of one year dumped me. I was feeling like I was constantly empty without a lover, without a sexual partner, without external human validation. then COVID-19 happened. I had to be in a room, alone with my brain. as terrifying as it is, it also made me realize how stupid all the "I can't exist without my other half, I need a lover NOW!" music sounds to me. so this is my anti-thesis. I hope you jam to it and realize you are a whole, complete, not empty human being on your own. remember: if you need someone to care, plants and animals are there; but humans, baby, they're just not so fair.more
