Mike has a unique musical perspective, being a child of the 80s and discovering his love for music during the modern rock and synth-pop explosion, then coming of age in the 90s grunge and metal atmosphere while playing various instruments with his large group of musician friends. There is a dark and dirty aesthetic that lurks under the surface of his work which punctuates his stance, straddling numerous genres with playful but weighty melodies and lush vocal harmonies. Driven by his sense of wonder, he explores human consciousness through his music-writing. He describes himself as a misanthropic humanist, so baffled by his own hypocrisy that he's inspired to create sound recordings to document the conundrum.
