In 1992 at the height of grunge, Mike moved to Seattle, WA, USA to learn audio engineering. Mike worked as freelancer producing 3D animation and motion graphics while maintaining day jobs as a property manager and a contractor renovating apartments. Mike tried to rent to artists only but most were gradually priced out of the area by low-rise legislation. Seattle eventually made it illegal to discriminate in choosing rental applicants based on artistic merit and eventually most all or most of the tenants worked for companies like Microsoft, Amazon and Boeing. Mike’s influences are soft, hard and progressive rock of the 70’s like Aerosmith, Rush, Yes & BOC but he prefers anything that leans toward the dark, industrial or metal sounds in music. Mike builds his own guitars and computers and still enjoys creating digital art but he has shifted his focus to creating music.
