Formed in late 2024, New Enemy is a Dublin-based alternative rock band blending raw emotion and heavy energy. With influences from AFI, My Chemical Romance, and Paramore, they mix punk melodies with metalcore-inspired aggression.
Ashley Strong McCann (vocals) brings emotional depth, while John Collard (bass/vocals) adds heavier, screamed vocals. Shayne English (guitar) infuses pop-punk riffs, and Veronika Svecova (drums) drives their powerful rhythm. David McGeary contributes as an unofficial 5th member, handling production, songwriting, and additional guitar.
After playing high-energy shows like Opium to over 600 people (opening for Di Derrero) and Siege of Limerick, New Enemy is set to release their debut single Take Me Away on June 27th, with a music video to follow. An Irish tour will kick off in late July.
