I wrote this song after learning I wouldn't be able to go home for the holidays this year. Vintage 2020, right? Christmas is my favorite time of year, and Christmas music is a huge part of that. I've layered some references to favorite carols throughout the tune. The track is overall depressing, just like this year, but it contains hope as well.
