WHAT ARE WARS FOR? is probably the most important song I've ever written.
This isn't about politics. It isn't about choosing sides. It's about people.
About the child who doesn't understand why the world keeps repeating the same mistakes. About the parents who wait for someone who never comes home. About families, dreams and futures that disappear because of decisions made far away from the battlefield.
The song is told through two voices: an adult trying to make sense of the world, and a young boy asking the one question no one seems able to answer:
"What are wars for?"
Maybe there isn't an answer.
I hope this song reminds us that before we belong to a country, a religion or a flag, we are all human. Every soldier is someone's son or daughter. Every civilian is someone's family. Every life matters.
If this song makes even one person stop for a moment, think, choose compassion over hatred, or simply hold their loved ones a little tighter, then it has already achieved more than I could ever ask for.
Thank you for listening.
If this message resonates with you, please like, comment, share, and support the song. Every stream helps spread a message of peace.
Love will always be stronger than war.
