Forever stuck in her Emo phase, Rachel Nik is an artist that blends the iconic sounds of 2000’s emo with modern day alternative/acoustic vibes. Hailing from the outskirts of Cleveland, OH, Rachel spent her younger years growing up surrounded by friends and family with a diverse background in music. Her older brother introduced her to iconic hard rock bands like Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin and Evanescence in her younger years. She believes that is what eventually lead her down the path of consistently consuming Emo and Alternative Music. Rachel picked up playing the guitar when she was 16 years old and began vocal lessons shortly after. She fell in love with covering songs from her favorite artists and writing her own. Shortly after picking up the guitar, Rachel’s father passed away from Prostate Cancer. She credits her dad for influencing her to never give up on her dreams in becoming an artist.
