Rita Nicole Perry is a Singer-Songwriter, Poet, Special Education Teacher, wife, and school/dog mom. Music is undoubtedly her passion and dream. She says, "It makes me so happy it is quite hard to try to put into words. She plays guitar, keyboard, ukulele, and dabbles with percussion and cello. "I love writing, I feel as though it is a gift that humbles my soul and a magical way to connect with others." She has been in two bands: "Fire of Mine, and currently Rita Perry and the Night Owls. The Night Owls continuously grows and shrinks, like the ebb and flow of the ocean of life. It's all about the right souls staying up late, creating music, and lifting each other up. Her genre is Homegrown Soul, Folk, Blues, and Rock, or "Soul Folk", as she calls it. It's a reference to the good ole South and all the good people that she has interlaced and woven into her life whether through singing, teaching, cooking, or laughing. She truly believes you get what you put out into the world.
