Hey there, I'm Sarah. I've been writing songs and singing/playing piano as long as I can remember, at least since I started piano lessons at about 8 years old. I later picked up guitar in high school and joined my high school choir, and essentially acted as the club's recruiter and co-president during my junior and senior years. In college, I studied music history and theory, journalism, history, poetry, multicultural studies, anthropology, and the list goes on. However, I dropped out because I didn't see the degree as a part of my path. The knowledge I gained was all I needed to move forward. My freshman year at university, I was assaulted by an upperclassman at a house party. I decided to press charges, thinking it was the "right thing" to do. And it was. But it showed me how broken the justice system, education system, law enforcement, and medical system are, and how they interact together to perpetuate these abusive systems of oppression. My goal = break it.
