hi!!! i’m naz, i’m a kenyan american musician and student based in dublin. i’ve been singing since i was six years old, in and out of seattle’s northwest girl choir, which i was part of for eleven years. i began writing at nine, mainly tracing the plots and characters of films i was attached to. as my teenage life became eventful, i wrote in a more traditionally autobiographical manner. after graduating secondary school, i began studying at university college dublin, where i became more familiar with the street performance community. i’ve always had a soft spot for this, ever since seeing people playing in covent garden as a little girl on the stops in london to and from kenya with my mom. i occasionally join my friends singing on grafton street, which i hope to do alone soon. my favourite songs to play, however, will always be ones that started as a spark of my own thoughts. perhaps one day i’ll be able to do that. thank you so much for listening!!! <3
