Everyone has a relationship with music, mine is all over the place my parents still have a collection of records with Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, U2 and a bunch of Southern African Artists like Yvonne Chaka Chaka and Ilanga to start. Then Brother and Sister 2000’s Rnb, Pop, Rap and South African House is all they played in the car. As the youngest in family I tried to explore music from a that type of baseline.
Since learning how to play guitar, bass and producing my own music I’ve been playing the field and trying to fit all of that into a hip hop format. being inspired by producers like Timbaland, Pharrell and Gawvi I’ve been trying to make my own eclectic sound that is a reflection of my creative ability and by making the connections between different genres.
I’m still experimenting with different types of music to find that sound and make so bold ambitious art at resonates with people and make our connections with others stronger.
