Zaahir Khan, better known as “ZK” is a Canadian singer, songwriter and producer Toronto, Ontario, of Guyanese heritage. ZK started his musical journey back in 2010, experimenting with recording and producing in many different genres. Although ZK was born and raised in Toronto, he grew up with a lot of Caribbean influence and culture which you can hear in his sound. In 2018, ZK released his first single “Brown Eye Beauty” which he recorded and produced himself. He also worked with mix engineer Jeff Crake (Drake, Justin Bieber, The Weeknd) at the infamous Metalworks Studios and Grammy nominated mastering engineer Joao Carvalho. Since then, ZK has written , recorded and produced 4 singles. In 2021, ZK’s 3rd single “You” was nominated for best pop video in the Canadian Independent Music Video Awards. He placed 5th out of 30 selected Canadian independent artists.
