Like A Heart Attack, Live
"Like A Heart Attack" is not just a song title for me. It feels like the point where every version of me finally collides. I built this track like a transition, the moment where I stop looking at isolated memories and start seeing a pattern across everything I lived through. The song moves with an 80s emotional pulse, around 86 BPM in felt tempo, with a brighter double time energy underneath. That contrast is intentional. The rhythm keeps moving forward while the atmosphere stays suspended, nostalgic, almost haunted by previous versions of myself. The production was designed to grow progressively instead of exploding immediately. I wanted the track to breathe. The drums stay controlled and steady, more like a pulse than a dominant force. Around them, the arrangement slowly widens through layered synth textures, melodic repetition and subtle harmonic expansion. The song never fully collapses emotionally, because the point is not destruction. It is transformation. Lyrically, I approached the track like a self archive. Every song title, every emotional phase, every attachment and every rupture starts feeling connected. Some songs carry innocence, others obsession, disillusion, avoidance, courage or emotional survival. "Like A Heart Attack" is the moment where all these fragments stop existing separately. What matters to me is that the song never sounds purely sad. There is melancholy inside it, but also momentum. The instrumental keeps pushing forward while the lyrics look backward. That tension is the real emotional center of the track. The music says movement. The words say realization. Technically, I wanted the arrangement to mirror psychological evolution itself. Repetition creates familiarity, wider textures create emotional scale, and the restrained dynamics preserve intimacy instead of flattening everything into loudness. Even when the track opens up, there is still space inside the mix. That space matters because the song is about identity shifting in real time, not about spectacle. For me, "Like A Heart Attack" is the point where I stop singing about disconnected moments and realize they were all building the same person from the beginning.more
