Born Dillon, South Carolina, LaVon was reared in the Greater Washington, D.C. area. LaVon displayed musical gifts as early as age 4 when he began to play the piano by ear. As a result, LaVon’s early keyboard and piano skills were largely self-taught. In high school, LaVon had music and voice lessons at Oxon Hill High School where he was a lead singer and keyboard player in Malika, a school band that also featured Maverick recording artist Meshell Ndegeocello on bass guitar. LaVon has won several talent showcases as a solo artist and has also been a lead singer and keyboard player with The Knew Crue, a band that toured in Amsterdam, Holland and London, England, and INC. a group that performed in Washington, DC. LaVon currently resides in Georgia, possesses a unique combination of global, musical, & life experiences, and is now focused on generating multimedia hit songs through his skills as a musician, songwriter, vocalist, producer, and/or recording artist.
