That Small Pond
"That Small Pond" is inspired by Isaac Asimov’s words in his 1988 interview with Bill Moyers, where he speaks about the responsibility of spreading rationality, even if it’s just one drop at a time. The song takes that metaphor of a small pond and transforms it into sound: a space where ripples grow, where reason and emotion meet, and where small gestures carry immense weight.
With its blend of trip-hop textures, downtempo rhythms, and ambient electronica, “That Small Pond” mirrors the patient persistence of change, slow, subtle, yet transformative. The track doesn’t try to shout; instead, it resonates quietly, like a thought that lingers, like ripples expanding outward from a single drop.
This song is both a tribute to Asimov’s belief in the power of reason, and a personal reflection on how music itself can be a drop in someone’s life, not changing everything, but leaving a mark.more
