I made a "pop punk influenced" song about "Splitting" in borderline personality disorder (BPD) and how it can affect romantic relationships in a bad way if you don't take responsibility for it. Splitting is an unconscious defense mechanism which can cause "black-and-white" / "all or nothing thinking". The person with BPD can split on a person, themselves or situations and seeing it as all bad or good. This constant back an forth can be extremely draining for the person with BPD but also other people. It can be triggered by extreme fear of abandonment for example. After a split, the person with BPD often finds themselves in a state of shame and regret. This song is about my personal experiences about how I lost someone very important to me because of my splitting and recklessness. Kxtharsis (Katharsis) makes music influenced by pop punk, alternative rock and emo. There are even plans to make "emo rap" with a melodic trap sound for future releases. more
