MISFIT So I stopped pretending This back-over bending Trying to fit in somewhere Only to find there is no fit anywhere I'm a misfit With a great spirit The war in my head It's real Each day I swing negative thoughts to positive Consciously continuously meticulously Cause I'm a misfit With a great spirit The contemporary painting of pink sheep in my living room Symbolizes the rest of the world Who follow the rules just to fit in Who live their lives to obey Ridiculous rules placed upon them Without giving anything any thought They're just doing what they were taught And some of them seem happy As in living happily ever after, I see How can this be? It truly puzzles me Oh I stopped pretending This back over bending Trying to fit in somewhere I'm a misfit With a great spirit The war in my head It's real Each day I swing negative thoughts to positive Consciously continuously meticulously Cause I'm a misfit With a great spirit But as truth to be told As I grow old Older and older Bolder and bolder It's become apparent, I just don't fit in Not here, not there, not anywhere I'm a misfit With a great spirit The war in my head It's real Each day I swing negative thoughts to positive Consciously continuously meticulously Cause I'm a misfit With a great spirit People they come And it's fun Till they go And that's the only life I know Copyright @Myrthe Buijs Vocals and music production with use of AI.
