Being "comfortable in my skin. Cozy with who I am" is a line which Beyoncé used in her song COZY. This line in this song is what inspired me to write "Boys Not Girls". I've always been intrigued and excited to see how the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies impact the way society views us through various forms of arts. Music is the only "franc language" that the whole world in its entirety communicates with and is understood by all. What better language to use than this; to affirm that it's ok to be you, it's ok to love who you love, being part of the LGBTQ community shouldn't come at a price anymore, it shouldn't be something looked at as if one is watching a "fantastical" show or play. Like everyone else being who you are, being cozy with who we are, should be nothing more and nothing less than just "another day of week". And of course, have some fun while doing it!!more
