Deji Docemo was born in Lagos, Nigeria and grew up playing drums and singing in his church band. In the early 2000’s, Deji immigrated to the United States and started performing in open mics and cover bands in the Lehigh Valley Area of PA. He has performed as both a drummer and singer in cover bands, including Electric Igloo, The Collectives, Flowers for Taco, High Five Swan Dive, and Shake Shake Shake. Writing his own songs and melodies has always been a passion of his but like many of us was limited on time due to his other musical commitments. It wasn’t until the COVID-19 pandemic that he was able to have more time at home to focus and complete his original songs. Deji is excited to share his original songs with you. While his musical roots will always be with the church, he also draws inspiration from Michael Jackson, Boyz II Men, Brian McKnight, Usher, and Justin Timberlake.
