LET'S GOOOOOOO!!
LET'S GOOOOOOO!! - My first BREAKCORE release, parodying ridiculously hard rhythm game levels and the speedrunners trying to beat them! -- To hear this on more platforms, go to hyperfollow.com/moule/lets-gooooooo!! -- 🥁 -- As part of #MOULETIDE2021, I'm gonna release new music on ALL 5 FRIDAYS of December! More info + the full tracklist here: hyperfollow.com/MOULETIDE2021 -- "LET'S GOOOOOOO!!" is my first BREAKCORE release!! It's one of the most craziest-sounding tracks I've ever came up with after 5 months of splicing up drum samples, and is unlike anything I've ever made before! -- It's a fun, tongue-in-cheek nod to breakcore, speedcore, happy hardcore, livestreaming, speedrunning, and rhythm gaming — all major influences on my music — inspired by the colourful, cartoony aesthetics common in them. In particular, it was inspired by insanely difficult rhythm game levels, often set to hardcore electronic music, which is how I discovered my love for ridiculously fast music like breakcore and speedcore! -- The cover art was equally challenging but SO MUCH FUN to make!! Reflecting the colourful "breakcore aesthetic", the drummer is Hyper Hyena — she's a rhythm-gaming drummer and the greatest drumming hyena of all time! (I've often been told my music would sound great in rhythm games, but I can't imagine someone playing THIS in Beat Saber) It's also an exploration into the visual art principle of movement, which I admit that I need to work on. -- 🥁 -- This is one of the most complicated and the most experimental MOULE tracks I've ever made! Let me know your thoughts on how I did on twitter.com/MOULEOFFICIAL, or via the contact form in LINKTR.EE/MOULE!more

Not Mussel
NOT MUSSEL - Dark yet lighthearted techno music poking fun at my artist name being confused with the French word for mussel! 🤭 -- To hear this on more platforms, go to hyperfollow.com/moule/not-mussel! -- 🚫 -- "Not Mussel" was made in 4 hours on the sleepless morning of October 25, 2021. It's a funky techno track made while half deaf and messing around with GarageBand's new drums! -- It's a fun nod to my artist name, MOULE, coincidentally being French for "mussel". The world "MOULE" comes alphabetically after "MOULD", symbolising that I am "outside the mould". My symbol is a mule, symbolising that my music is hybrid and of opposing influences. Therefore, an outside-the-mould mule = MOULE! -- However, I've had people joke that my artist name is also the French word for "mussel", so I decided to take my new techno track and make a running joke off of it! -- The bass sidechain is the same one I used in Coronathletics - it's one of my favourite patches and I've found it adds a lot more oomph to my music! -- 🚫 -- For the latest MOULE updates, follow or bookmark twitter.com/MOULEOFFICIAL!
