Smashing Boxes
SMASHING BOXES - My last new track from my Enjoy the Ride album and first ever chiptune track inspired by platformer games like Crash Bandicoot and Super Mario Bros.! — Stream Smashing Boxes on the platform of your choice at https://hyperfollow.com/moule/smashing-boxes and check out the rest of the Enjoy the Ride album at https://hyperfollow.com/moule/enjoy-the-ride-3! -- 🎶 -- Smashing Boxes was the 7th track I've ever made, beginning production all the way back on Halloween 2016, just over a year since I began learning how to produce music in GarageBand for the first time, making this one of my oldest tracks! Even though it wasn't produced with vintage hardware, I still consider it chiptune due to it's 8-bit sounds and its similar sound to other chiptune tracks that were made with it. — The cover features the Gamer Legion of Hasty Foxes (GLHF)'s best player and speedrunner - OpDaMyZr! He loves platforming games and comes up with utterly bizarre ways of finishing them quickly. -- 🎶 -- For more MOULE music and artworks, visit twitter.com/MOULEOFFICIAL, mas.to/@MOULE on Mastodon, or check out LINKTR.EE/MOULE for all links (including a new merch store!)more

I Need New Music
I NEED NEW MUSIC - Big Room EDM playfully mocking payola, stream manipulation, and bots and scammers on social media shilling fake promo! -- Stream I Need New Music on 20+ platforms at hyperfollow.com/moule/i-need-new-music! -- 🎶 -- Oskar's back to his squirrel tricks again, using his botnets to fool artists on 2Square! This fun track started out when I was working on my previous release Audio's Amigos, and aimlessly typed in the brass melody which would recur throughout this track. I copied over the track settings from another track of mine called Not Mussel, such as the drum machines and bass sidechain, and used https://ttsmp3.com to generate an obviously robotic voice mocking the formulaic writing style of fake "music promoters" on social media. I believe this is one of my most well-mastered tracks yet, and I'm happy with how it turned out as I usually struggle with bass mastering. -- This track was made to spread awareness about the problem with bots on social media who prey on new artists to scam them of their money, as well as playfully mocking the culture of buying artificial streams, views, likes, and followers just to appear more famous than one actually is. It also mocks those who simply comment "I need new music" on social media just to get lots of comments from artists who want to be heard (I admit I was once one of them) to appear more popular in social media algorithms. -- I encourage all indie artists to do what they do for the love of creating art, not for fame or followers. Social media nowadays has too many people focusing on getting higher numbers and trying to beat algorithms. This “hustle culture” is killing art and it needs to stop. -- 🎶 -- For more MOULE music and artworks, visit twitter.com/MOULEOFFICIAL or mas.to/MOULE (@[email protected]) on Mastodon, or check out LINKTR.EE/MOULE for all links (including a new merch store!)more
