CALIFORNIA GRIZZLY - My 50TH RELEASE SPECIAL! It's the videogame-inspired theme track for the greatest skateboarding grizzly bear of all time! -- 🐻 -- "California Grizzly" is one of my alter egos symbolising the U.S. state of California. He's the "cool kid" of the states, he likes the beach, sunsets, and skateboarding, and this is his theme track! It's also a track for Monarch, one of the last California grizzly bears left before being hunted to extinction in 1922. He now stars on California's flag! -- When I first started producing California Grizzly on November 20, 2020, I did what I do all the time - mess around on my keyboard until I make something I like. Like Google Images, typing in the melody brings up images in my head. This time, it was a bear skateboarding at the beach during a sunset. A LEAGUE OF MY OWN - My darkest release ever, celebrating the solo spirit. In honour of everyone fearlessly chasing their dreams in a league of their own. -- 🛣 -- One of my darkest releases yet, it's one of my earlier releases. Production starting in July 2017 and "finished" shortly after, but what I considered "finished" back then contained askew mastering and hi-hats sounding like skunk farts. -- In March 2021, using constructive feedback from the indie electro music community, I've remastered this track entirely and turned it into one of my best dark electro house tracks ever! -- The imagery I got while making this was a character travelling down a road at night. "A League of My Own" symbolises stubbornly powering through and pursuing one's dreams, even when the road ahead is not clear and during dark times.
