We are COMIC SANS; an all-queer-girl rock band that's raising a pint of Guinness to nonconformity and punk rebellion. Challenging societal norms with unfiltered, raucous, and unabashed lyrics that draw inspiration from punk icons like Amyl and The Sniffers and Kathleen Hanna. In the summer of 2023, Comic Sans expanded to a quartet through the inclusion of Em, our symbol-slamming shell slayer, and Chloe, our bass behemoth. We’re trouble- seeking, Guinness-loving folk, ensuring our gigs are a safe, expressive and inclusive space for all women, non-binary, and trans individuals.

The song was written with anger but passion. It doesn't only refer to the patriarchal society on the whole but the male dominated music industry in which we sometimes feel small. This song was our chance to show we can be big, we can make noise, and we can be louder than male rock bands. We love and are constantly inspired by bands of all genders, but this song sets out to inspire the listeners in whatever field they are passionate about and stick it to the man, don't let anyone tell them what they can't do.more
